Title: Nothing to do with Bees
Post by: IsleWx on July 13, 2008, 08:57:38 PM
Hi Ya'll,

This isn't to do with bees, but well, we're all sort of alike I'd bet.

My kids cat (she's 19, not a little kid anymore) got sick yesterday.  I took him to the vet, and all was meant to be well.  It wasn't, he completed his journey, alone, in a cage, at the vet.

I really don't like it when that happens,

We had to put down Ziggy our beagle about 5 yrs ago and my wife and I were both there when the vet had to put him to sleep, it was just aweful, I cried like a baby, our pets are like family.

If its any consolation its hard to watch them go, but its selfish to hold on and let them suffer, you did the right thing, 19 is a long life.

I read your post differently, now JP's got me confused.  Was it your kid or the cat that was 19?  Sorry for your loss, I'm sure kitty knew that he was loved.

Oh.  I am so sorry.  Just after my Mum died I got a kitten and he was the best friend I had for 16 years.  I married and have two small children, but Buzz was the constant through all of that.  When he got a blood clot and everything stopped working I had to have him put down, and I think it was possibly one of the worst things I have ever gone through.  So I share your pain.  You'll always remember that kitty....
