Hi all, my name is Ron and I am 60 years of age. (feel like 95, act like 14)
This is my 2nd year in beekeeping, but last year was in South Texas with the African bees and this year is with the Italian bees, in NE Georgia. Honeybees are honeybees right, NOT! Nothing seems to be the same here...different bees, nectar plants and flow dates. It is like my first year all over again.
Well that's me, I hope to get the chance to communicate with each of you at some future time, and exchange ideas and experiences (what few I have).
Ron, 27 miles NW of Athens Ga (goggle Auburn, Ga)
I'm just south of Athens, in Watkinsville. It's nice to see you here. This is my first year, so I'm still learning, too. This is definitely the right place to come for answers. There are many very smart and experienced beekeepers here.
Ron welcome to our forum. Stick around here, this will be a place where you can share your experiences, tell your tales, we are all listening. Different climates surely do affect the way that we beekeep, you have found that out. Enjoy your stay with us, here you will meet new friends, people who care about each other, and a wonderful place just to read or participate, we all have our tales to tell. Have the most beautiful and wonderful day, welcome. Cindi

Don taught me how to graft and raise queens just spending one day with him, I help Dwight (Redtractor1) raise queens and sale queens, I raise some for myself but Dwight has shown me a great deal also about raising and the business side of queen rearing, here his site:
