Can you paint both sides of them? I am making them to day to put on the 23 when I go in to look for the queen.

I paint both sides of my bottom boards without any issues.  If you don't,  they won't last as long.   You can jusr paint the alighting board sections, but I spray the whole thing.  Doesn't seem to matter.

Sounds like a good plan to me.   When you use a reverseable bottom board, all sides are painted.

On the bottom, I wouldn't worry about it either way.  Paint the whole thing if you like.  Or don't.
