Title: Using divided bottom bars with foundation?
Post by: Greg Peck on July 19, 2008, 08:48:25 PM
I obtained about 80 unassembled frames from a local beekeep who was getting out of beekeeping. The frames have the divided bottom bars, the type you would use with plastic foundation. I use crimp wire foundation and normally use the grooved bottom bar. Can I still use the divided bar with my foundation or should I try to swap out the frames with grooved bars?

Thanks

just slide the bottom of the foundation into the bottom bar space and then up to the top bar.

Not a problem, I've used divided bottom bars with crimp wire foundation for many years.
