There are so many bee dealers in the US, but do you know where they are getting their bees from?   If so, where are they coming from?

I've listed the most common suppliers here.

I'm getting mine from Koehnen in Glenn, Ca.    They have a 4 package crate that I like, and they work their bees themselves.  Pollination contracts etc.

Lagrants in Ware, MA for me. They raise their own bees there so the bees come from my local climate! :D

Can-Am in California. The local bee store gets them in a couple times a year.

Ordered from B Weaver last year and called mid December and they were already sold out. So giving R Weaver a try this year.

I ordered from Draper, but I don't know for sure where they are shipped from.  Last year it was York, but they are out of business now.  Guy from Draper said they had packages reserved from several different suppliers.

No, just good ol' italians.  I wanted to get some russians, but their suppliers didn't come through with them, so they aren't supplying them now.  Although they did say they thought they'd at least be offering russian queens (czarinas?), so maybe if I split this spring and need a queen, I'll get one.

I got mine from Sacramento Beekeeping Supply (Sacramento, CA), but am not sure where they get them. I was able to get them fairly late in the season and I picked them up myself and drove them home - (probably the bee's first time staying overnight in a motel)..
This year I plan to split the hive and buy the queen from them.
