Title: Feeding Pollen ?
Post by: Violacea on January 08, 2005, 07:11:33 PM
I am a little confused about pollen, perhaps you can set me straight.  First, how do you feed it to your bees?  In the hive, or out?  And if out of the hive, how far away do you place the feeder? Or does it not matter?  And what kind of feeder do you use? And how often do you feed? What is the difference between pollen substitute and pollen supplement? And do you make the feed yourself, or buy it?

But now I learned that if honey has American foul brood, boiling of honey does not help. You can use fruit sugar.

Pollen must be radiated.
