Title: New toy
Post by: Understudy on August 22, 2008, 07:25:36 PM
Famous sayings
He who dies with the most toys wins.
The thing that separates the men from the boys is the price of their toys.

So I recently acquired a new toy. On sale in the discount bin at Home Depot.

And yes it is useful and darn nice.
And even at the discount price my wife still doesn't understand it.

Sincerely,
Brendhan

I messed up the url that gave it's function. I have now fixed it. For simplicity sake lets say it a way to see inside walls, attics, and soffits where bees might be hiding.

Sincerely,
Brendhan

I picked it up for $99.00 you can probably get it for a little less on ebay but this was new in box and right there in front of me.

When you get tired of doing cutouts with that thingy, you could qualify for a colonscopy position at your local clinic.

You'd have to buy me dinner first.

How large of a hole do you need to insert the camera end? My borescope is 1/4" that looks a lot bigger.

It's about 1/2 in diameter but that works pretty well for most bee entrances. If I have to drill a hole I can.

Brendhan

Yes, let us know, my borescope works ok, but the light switch is a little tricky, would really like to know how clear the visual is, mine you need to put your eye right up against the viewing cup, that one looks like you can just view it without putting your eye right up to it.

Sometimes mine is a pain in bright light, wonder how that one would work in bright light?

I still say 1/2" is very large, do they offer it in 3/8 or 1/4" any idea?

Thanks,

...JP

I always ask them if they would like me to turn on my side before they put me to sleep. I think this "Colonoscopy position" is more helpful for the doctor and nurses! :-D

So could you use this thing to look inside your hives and watch the bees?  or would it not work for that?  That would be cool!
