Hello, I am getting back into bee's after a 12 year break and yikes....things have changed! The only thing we worried about back then was AFB, and I only saw it once in a neglected hive a buddy of mine got from a farmer!! Still, with bee's in the blood I have missed my ladies and will be reintroducing myself to them next spring. But since this post is to introduce my self to you, a few personal facts: I am 45, have been married for 25 years, have 4 children, live in Oklahoma City, and am a diesel mechanic for FedEx. Since the first day my mentor took me into a bee yard I have been hopelessly addicted to these stinging bugs! I felt I had to give them up when I moved into the city from a small town but an addict can stay sober for only so long without help and I am falling off the wagon! My desire was futher deepened when I read and saw documentaries on CCD. I am also very glad for the technology we have today.....forums like this allow folks access to countless years of combined experience while at the same time proving that you can put 10 beeks in a room, ask one question, and get 10 answers. Very few things as subjective a beekeeping. A big thx to those who host, monitor, and support this forum.
Welcome to the forum, I am sure you will enjoy it, If you have questions ask and yes you will more than likely get several answers.
Welcome to the group
Johnny
welcome to the forum.
NasalSponge. Welcome to our forum, what an interesting name, by the way. Yep, you are an addict, that shines through ;) :) :) I think we are all addicted to these lovely little girls. So nice that you are resuming your bee-caretaking. You will find our forum a fun place to be, make new friends, a place where you can tell your stories and tales. I bet you can hardly wait until next spring when you get your bees, yeah!!! Have a most wonderful and awesome day, Cindi
Thx for the welcome...and yes I can hardly wait!!!!
