Every summer I get several bee calls from a local tree service to get free bees when they cut a tree. This month I goofed up bad.
The owner called me to do another removal and he watched really close. A couple days later he asked me where he could get a hive and equipment and like a fool I told him. Today he called for some advise on how close he could keep HIS HIVES together.
There go the free bees.

You got someone else started in beekeeping. Congratulations and thank you. We need more people to do that. Spend some time mentoring this fellow and be proud.

yeah and some time along the line he will have enough hives and then probably get the removals and give them to you, stay friends with this guy and tell him you are wanting to increase your hive count, he will give you some more, I would bet on it!
Maybe if the two of you do cut outs together you can agree to take one and the next one he keeps. That way you'll both be getting a piece of the action.
