Hello everyone,
First, I would like to thank Beemaster for a splendid website!
I would also like to thank all the informative posters here!
My name is Jim Cullen. I'm a computer opetrations specialist. I've always been fascinated by nature. Once I started reading about Bees, and Beekeeping my interest has continued to increase.
I live in suburbia with 2 dogs, and a wife that would skin me alive if suddenly she found a hive in the backyard.
I've found a club that I will be attending and hopefully I can hook up with a mentor beekeeper in the next few weeks.
Thanks for listening to my blather,
Jim Cullen
Welcome to the form great info great people great time. Your wife will get over it in time :-D The mentor thing is good help him or her with there bee's and see if you really want bee's. My bee's have been so much fun. As you will read try to start off with two hives if one needs help you can get stuff from the other. I started of with one and had problem's so this spring I will do a split so I will have two hive's.
I wanna be there when you put the first hive in your yard! "Skinnins'" are GREAT! Especially when its over the first beehives!
Anyways, welcome to the forums!
Youre not very far from me either!
your friend,
john
Hello and Welcome Jim
There is alot of great information on the forum.
If you have a question just ask and someone will answer it for you.
Johnny
Jim, welcome to our forum, we love to listen to blather, so just keep on bringin' that on. Your Wife, when you get bees, will more than likely become very interested herself, these honeybees have a way about them, one cannot help but get deep into their secret little lives. This will be a place where you can learn, tell your stories, tales and experiences, make some new friends, and plain and simply, spend some really quality time. Have that most wonderful and awesome day, Cindi
Hey Johnny!
I might have to mosey on up to the whitelake area in the future.
Do you attend the Coillin Co. Beekeepers association meetings?
I was thinking of attending the next one in Novemeber.
Got alot of questions, but I'll direct those to the general section.
Thanks again,
Jim Cullen
