Title: wax melter
Post by: danno on October 28, 2008, 09:12:31 AM
I am building a melter that is about 28" X 28".  For a wax pan i was planning on a bread pan.  With the width of the glass that I got was wondering if I could make a mold out of wood.  What I was thinking about is one similar to a soap mold that can be taken apart to remove the wax.  I know it will stick the first time around but my question is will the wood eventually obsorb to the point that it will pop out.

No. It will always stick.

How about just lining it with some (black) plastic as you would with a soap mold?
