I just watch part of a show on the Discovery channel call verminators this guy had a hive of bees in his overhang which was about 5 ft long, he call and exterminating service I thought maybe they would save the colony since it was on the discovery channel but no they came in in bee suits sprayed them then took the house apart and removed the honey comb what a waste this really P's me off
i have had to turn down two removals this month. i explained to the folks that it was the wrong time of the year to try to remove and save hives. don't know what these people will do. hope they call me back in the spring, but i am afraid those hives might be sprayed :-(
I too have turned down two cutouts due to the time of the year. I hope they will wait until spring.

Me too! But it was only one cutout from inside a pipe. I told the guy It wasnt worth my time as the bees would probably die if I got them out.....Then again, Were they really bees??? He said they were in a 6 inch pipe...that would be pretty small comb, huh???
I bet they were wasps.
your friend,
john
I saw that same episode a few weeks ago.......... sure got under my skin too.
It occurred to me, after the fact, that i didnt know if they mentioned if they were AHB or not though. Guess that could have made the decision for them.
Some people are not willing to wait that is just how it goes sometimes.
I caught an episode of Verminators the other day, they killed a colony they say were AHB. Not ONE bee was flying anywhere near the guy while he was 86ing them, trust me it does not take a genius to figure out they weren't AHB.
Who are they fooling, well, the public, that's who.
