I am 63 and live in France with my youngest son on a smallholding, part of my family comes from the UK and the other half comes from Canada Torronto. We have many various animals and I bought a Hive some years back with the intention of getting some bee's, but put it off for a while as the local French said there were a lot of problems. but in our very small Hamlet a lady died and one of the relatives asked if I could take the bee's, which I thought had long gone. I was please to take them even though they had been left for ten years unattended and in a very poor state.

We are happy to be a part of your forum and hope that we can contribute more as we become more experianced.

Cherami, welcome to our forum.  So nice that you have acquired that interest in bees.  And even nicer, you were prepared to help that family out and take over the deceased woman's bees, that is a wonderful thing.  Now you must take the time to tell us a little more about life in your area of this world.  How many bees, etc., your animals, we are not just about bees here, hee, hee.  We are a very interested bunch of people and love to hear stuff.  So nice that your youngest son is with you, very obviously working the land, alongside his Father, how beautiful.  Here you can tell your tales, stories and experiences, ask questions to help you to work the bees, so many good things, and especially, you can make some new friends, always a shoulder to lean on, too.  Have that most wonderful and awesome day and life, great health.  Cindi
