Title: Hello from Australia, just joined ....
Post by: Chela on December 03, 2008, 07:59:42 AM

Hello all,

I'm from Australia, my Bees are kept on the South Coast of NSW in a place called Jervis Bay - renowned for having the whitest beach sand in the world.

I've been keeping bees for about 10 years and currently have 4 hives, down from 6.
I have a swienty horizontal extractor, steam knife and electric wire embedder as far as equipment goes.

Am keen to learn all aspects of beekeeping as well as share my learnings and experiences.

This site is fantastic!!!

Cheers

Chela

Welcome Chela.

Yeah, I know that beach. Isn't that right next to "wiggle" bay?  :-D

I never used a steam knife before.

Take Care.

Chela, welcome to our forum.  We have a few Australian beekeepers, that is so nice.  It gives us a different perspective of keeping bees, when you have summer and we have winter, and vice versa.  Stick around.  This can be a place where you can tell us your tales, stories and experiences. We love to listen.  If you need help, we can also offer lots of good advice too.  So nice you have found us.  Have a great and wonderful day, great health.  Cindi
