Title: winter relief
Post by: tlynn on December 21, 2008, 05:51:51 PM
Since a lot of folks seem to be seeing mostly white right now, I wanted to share a little of today's hive activity, something I think I would really miss if my hives were covered in snow and ice.  Happy Holidays and happy winter solstice to all...

Ha.  Our advisory for tonight (sorry I already had this in another post but couldn't resist cooling this 'tropical post' down a little...)

"Very Cold Air Pouring Into The Region On Gusty West To Southwest Winds Will Cause Wind Chills To Drop To Around 15 Below Zero Late Tonight Through Monday Morning. Wind Gusts Of Around 40 Mph Will Be Common."

VERY nice footage.

I also noticed in your first photo in the wax moth post, you seem to have a moisture problem there.   :-D

Oh no, no dig intended! 8-) I haven't forgotten big wide aluminum shovels and those felt lined boots with the fuzzy collars.  Plus I can't seem to find a lot of use for this video cam other than filming my bees!
