A buddy of mine ordered some PF-120 from Mann Lake. He stated to me that the guy he talked to said that the cells of the RiteCell are smaller than that of the PF-120. On Mr. Bush's website, he has the following in respects to those two foundations:
RiteCell 5.4 mm
Mann Lake PF100 & PF120 4.95 mm
Can anyone verify this? I have a hard time believing that what Mr. Bush has on his site is inaccurate.
Micheal Bush is right. I just bought some of both last year, and the rite-cell is significantly larger cell size.
I suspected as much. Thanks for the quick reply.
I just called up Mann Lake and the guy on the phone didn't have a clue at to what size cells he had. The PF100 according to Mr Bush is 4.95. You have to be careful with cell measurements. Some salesmen measure the inside diameter of the cell not center of wall to center of wall. I just had Mann Lake send me a PF105 (PF100 version in black) as a sample.
Kinda cool.
If I were a businessman, which maybe these individuals were not, maybe just do-bees...I would want to know everything about the products I was selling. But that's just me.
I haven't bought rite cell recently, but what I have in my basement right now is 5.4mm. I have bought PF120s recently and they were still 4.95mm. I can't guarantee that they won't ever change them, but I'm not aware of any change.
Mr Bush from what I understand it is all in making the molds which is expensive.
