Post by: slaphead on February 03, 2009, 01:46:24 AM
Completed the WA state apprentice level master beekeeper course today and passed the exam.

:-D

Let's hope I do better with the practical "exam" this year.

Congrats, They didn't have master or even apprentice tests of anykind when I started so I moved right from novice to Spert (that's and Expert without the X) thanks to my mentor.  My mentor had 60 years of beekeeping experience when I meant him and he tried to teach me everything he knew during the next 6 years.  I still wonder, from time to time, if I'm still opporating on what he taught me or if I've ever actually learned something on my own.  Considering we didn't have mites, SHB, nosema carne, and several viruses I thin I have learned a few things on my own.  But the amount of knowledge he imparted to me was phenominal, it took me over 10 years to understand it all myself.
