Title: Bees flying in Maine
Post by: Steve M. on February 08, 2009, 04:31:13 PM
Well, it was a beautiful sight early this afternoon to see bees flying around my hive.  Even though the temps barely made it to 40 deg F. (pretty warm for Feb in Maine), they were making circles, and spotting the snow.  Getting ready to start feeding them candy in about a week or so.....getting excited for a new year....it has been so cold this winter (-15 to -30) I was getting nervous about the bees making it, but so far they seem ok....hive is bit on the light side though....I will have to keep a close eye on it.
