my place is the wooded looking area between the pasture and the dirt road.it goes all the way back about 100 yards into the woods, 13 acres.

the pin is alittle off, my place is south across the road from the pin, (looks like a wedge of trees) but you can see the edge of the lake, im about 3/4 mile from the water by road, but 1/4 mile through the woods.

That's a pretty big lake for Georgia, isn't it? Is it one of the biggest ones, or is my perception just off?
I love those sites. Here's our place:

I don't know when they took this photo, but I can tell that things have changed a bit since they did. For the most part the roads are still the same, but there are slight differences. Also, more homes and trailers are in the area now. But you can clearly see our pond with the island in the middle. And you can see the bridges going from either side of the island. The red pin is a little off to where we actually live. We're right on the edge of the pond near the bridge, but of course our trailer isn't in the pic.

Our property covers nearly all of the greyish square in the picture that's surrounded by a skinny dirt road - also 21 acres like you TwT. Our driveway is the more defined one near the pond, and my father-in-law's driveway is the dirt road above ours (his curves around to connect with ours). It all looks a lot bigger in the picture.

I can't ever find my place. I guess it hasn't been photoed yet. When you get west of Lubbock a few miles there is nothing but white.
its called Clarks Hill Lake, it has 1200 miles of shore line and is the largest man made resovior east of the mississippi river. it is the savanna river damed up, theres 3 lakes in this chain, hartwell, Russel, and clarks hill, its the one you see on the map
OKAY:
My turn....
Here is Beemaster Central in the lower right corner - you can all see how congested this 1 mile long town is. Also pointed out is the cranberry bog (owned by Ocean Spray) where my bees get a large amount of their Spring food stores.
North of my home is the crashsite of the dirigible Hindenburn on May 6th, 1937 and to the right of the crashsite is Hangar One - our NAtional Historical Monument.
Note: that Hangar One is 800ft long and the Hindenburg was soooooo large, the nose-cone had to be removed to get it inside the Hangar.
Footnote: The Hindenburg made 12 successful trips to Lakehurst in 1936 (most people believe ((as in the Titantic)) that the Hindenburg was on its maiden flight - the fact though was that it was on its maiden flight in 1937 - but the 13th flight in total to Lakehurst.

The date of the picture is on top of the map. Beth yours is 1993.
That's the problem with all these satalite maps Jerry, few have dates that are near current. I took my map from the same site, did a screen capture, cropped everything except what I wanted shown - but the date was from 2002. Little has changed, but still finding a newer image WITHOUT paying for it is literally impossible, unless you happen upon an image as it is upload to their server.
I thought I'd through some prospective historical stuff - the exact distance from ,my home to the Hindenburg Crashsite is 1.38 miles by GPS. Just FYI.
I"m not sure you'll see anything of my house in this photo at http://terraserver.microsoft.com/image.aspx?T=4&S=8&Z=17&X=6747&Y=61548&W=3&qs=1200+Monticello+blvd.%7cSaint+Petersburg%7cFlorida&Addr=1200+Monticello+Blvd+N%2c+St+Petersburg%2c+FL+33703&ALon=-82.6509102&ALat=27.8121102
The place where I live is just under the red dot untill you see a small driveway an the left. THis photo's way out of date because 3 of those oak trees are gone from hurricans/turmites and 2 new trees are in the front.
Heres mine, just above the red dot, the little house in the woods....
