Hi Folks, I am new to this forum and basically new to beekeeping. I did bees with the family years ago but it's been about 20 years since we had hives. Bears kept tearing them to pieces where we lived up north and finally we gave up.
Anyway, just getting back into it down hear in birch run and looking forward to the first nuc arriving in april!!

I'm sure you'll find this forum to be a great place to learn more about bees & beekeeping. Most of the long time beeks say that a lot has changed over the last 20 years, so you should be all set for a lot of learning and a lot of fun.
Are you involved with a local beekeeping club? I always recommend that new beekeepers get connected with other nearby beeks. Looks like the Saginaw Valley club isn't far:
