Basic Equipment Seminar

There are a lot of you out there receiving this email but have not yet purchased equipment. There is no doubt, the selection is long and knowing what you actually need it difficult. I could give you the ins and outs of equipment here and make recommendations but it would make for a lengthy email. So I thought I would offer an online seminar. During this seminar I will cover the basic pieces of equipment, cover the advantages/disadvantages of 8 and 10 frame, different hive configurations, and what is necessary to get started. If you would like to Register for the Basic Equipment Seminar.

Space is limited. Reserve your Webinar seat now at: https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/516564742

Thanks Robo,

I think there would be great interest if some of BeeMasters very knowledgable members would do the same through Ventrilo. Maybe something for Friday nights during the month of March for everyone to be ready for spring? Well...for those that don't have spring already  :-D

I was finally able to catch one of the Brushy Mountain webinars last night.  It was "Queen Maladies" and the presentation was by Shane Gebauer, General Manager.  I must say, I was quite impressed.   It was very professionally done and provide great insight.   The majority of those attending where new beekeepers and Shane did a great job of keeping the discussion on a level that all could understand.  I've never met Shane, but it was clear that he is a true beekeeper at heart and truly enjoys promoting beekeeping and helping those who want to get involved.  There was never a sales pitch. The scheduled webinar was for one hour and by the time we got thru the presentation there was only about 5 minutes left for question and answers.   Forty-five minutes later, when I had to leave to pick up my son at school, Shane was still taking questions, even questions that where not related to the subject of queens.

I know we are a non-commercial site,  but that does not mean we can not give credit where credit is due.   I would highly suggest any of our members, especially those who are relatively new beekeepers, request a catalog from Brushy Mountain and get on their mailing list so you will be informed of future webinars.

Did not attend the webinar, but I attended one of Shane's beginner classes at Brushy Mtn.  He does know his stuff-  was very patient with any and all questions.  It was obvious he was genuine about making sure everyone was going to enjoy a new hobby.

I did get to participate in part of the last two of his seminars.  I appreciate his time to put these on and using today's technology is a great idea.  He does have some expense in hosting the webinar.   In the last 2 seminar's he has provided a bonus for those that attended.  I will leave it at that.
