If you find out a way to turn the boards into candy pass it along.     :lau:

The way I make fondant (candy)m when and if I use it,  is to take about a 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of Corn Syrup and bland in granulated and powdered sugar until stiff.  I then press it into a 3/8 inch deep shim that fits over the frames but inside the box.  That much fondant over the cluster will last it, along with it's normal stores should last the entire winter.

Here is how I do it -> http://robo.bushkillfarms.com/beekeeping/emergency-feeding/

I don't like using corn syrup because of GMO and "other" types of potential contamination.
