Title: Regression Question
Post by: Pond Creek Farm on April 05, 2009, 03:11:36 PM
We hived three packages on for the most part drawn Mann Lake PF-100 (4.95 cell size).  As the queen lays in these and her first round of bees emerge, will they then be regressed much like HSC is supposed to work?  If so, should the next level be another ten PF-100 (these wold not be drawn since I used them all with the packages) or should I use starter strips and let them drawn their own the second story?

Yes.

Nothing wrong with more PF-100s.  Nothing wrong with starter strips.  What do you want to do?  I'm partial to foundationless.  Just turn the wedge sideways to make a wooden starter strip.

I want to use the foundationless, but I did not want to use it too soon (if there is such a thing).
