Title: UltraBreeze Jacket
Post by: bhfury on April 05, 2009, 05:46:43 PM
OK, I'm going to order an UltraBreeze jacket.  I looked at their sizing chart and it seems to be way off from my measurements.  Maybe someone can help me.

I'm 6'1, 200 lbs.  I usually wear an XL shirt.   Is that what I should get in the jacket as well?

Thanks,
Greg

I would call and talk to the owner just to be sure, but you should measure yourself and order by the measurements rather than the sizes listed since every company is different.
My husband is around the same size as you but when I called they suggested that I order him a XXl because of the arm and back length.
He told me that you want them to fit loose as well so they have you go up in size.
If you are spending that kind of money I would just call and find out to be sure so you don't have the hassle of exchanging the jacket, especially if you need it right away if you have bees coming.

Get it a little large. Think about when you bend over, no bare skin.  Good Luck Tony

I always buy bee jackets two sizes bigger than I would find snug but fit in real clothes.  I've never had a problem with them being too loose.  Too tight is not good.

Hello all, I've heard of these suits and hear they are suppose to be cooler than say a regular Dadant suit. I'm in southeast Tx and if they are a lot cooler I might consider getting one. Thanks

So far I have found that mine is a signifigant amount cooler. Although when I first got mine I was a little skeptical of the bulk

If it helps they say the sizes are the same as the Mann Lake economy jackets. I don't have an ultra breeze (yet) but my 6' 2" 230lb frame fits in a Mann Lake XL just fine. The only quibble is the length but at 6' 2" that is a problem with almost everything unless a long/tall length is offered.
