Hello all,
New beek in West Palm Beach, Fl. Have captured 5 swarms in last 6 weeks all were installed into 5 frame nucs with foundationless frames with starter strips. All are building comb like crazy. however, one hive has built their comb dagonally across frames. Should I cut out comb and put it in hinged "cut out" frames to correct orientation in box? Any other sggestions?

yea, I usually just cut the comb out and let them start over. They eventually do it my way, not that it's right for them or anything like that!
Whether you decide to put the comb in swarm frames or just let them start over, the sooner you fix the issue the better. The longer you wait, the more of a mess it will become. If the combs are straight and have brood in them, I would at least put them in swarm frames (or rubber band them in foundationless frames) until the brood hatches. If you want to weed them out later you can by moving them slowly to the outside of the hive until they are out of the brood nest and then remove them.
