Title: One Week Inspection
Post by: MustbeeNuts on April 18, 2009, 01:45:41 PM
Well I took a good look at the new hives today, found that all but one is laying quite well. I didn't look for the queen just eggs. They are taking syrup well and seem fairly pleasant to work with so far. The one with out the eggs, thats kinda odd I know I saw the queen last week in there. I did find that there is pollen and syrup in many many cells, green pea colored pollen. No idea what thats from but nice to know there getting some. I was concerned about one hive that the queen flew away when I released her but she came back because there are eggs in that hive. And thats not the one that I couldn't find eggs in. Oh well, I'll wait a while before I panic and if nothing turns up i'll have a frame of brood for them. So all in all everything seems to be working out just fine.
