Title: cold temp package install
Post by: jason58104 on April 29, 2009, 07:43:21 PM
just to let everyone know it is possible.  I had 9 packages arrive on april 6 in the middle of a blizzard in N W Iowa.  I installed them with a daytime high of 29.  They are brooding up and  doing very well.  It seems that temp is not as important as plenty of feed and good care!

That is the key, and the cluster needs to be able to get to the feed,  that is why feeder choice is so important.

Many years ago I had to install packages in a snow storm  and all survived as well.

Congrats,  I'm sure you where worrying at the time but feel much better now :)
