Title: this year
Post by: TwT on April 29, 2009, 09:50:05 PM
is anyone else having problems this year besides about 20 of us raising queens, I have a few hives that wanted to requeen them selves and they are battling, they get a good big queen and she lays full frames of eggs but a week later she is gone and they have just a couple queen cells going, I have seen this in 5 hives, just wondering if any others are seeing this???    I have talked to 20 queen raisers and they have seen the same thing, hope this is not something new!!!!!!

I think this has to do with the recent losses of Honey Bees.
Instinct tells them to increase, so they stepped it up. For Real. :)doak

I've had that prob in the past. It's one of the  symptoms of Nosema Ceranae. I never had my bees tested.
