Title: Update on year-old hive that was queenless for a while
Post by: sarafina on May 02, 2009, 04:47:56 PM
I inspected both my hives this morning.

My new hive that I installed a package and queen in 3 weeks ago is doing well.  Bees are taking syrup like crazy, building comb and I found a frame full of capped larvae in a tight pattern so everything looks good so far on the blue hive.

My yellow hive is a year old and I found queen cells in it 3 weeks ago and no larvae.  Today I found a frame full of capped larvae in a tight pattern so it looks like my new queen is settled in and doing her thing.

Thanks to all who repsonded to my concerns.  I was worried about my yellow hive!
