Title: Beekeeper/Apiary Name registration records
Post by: bee-nuts on May 03, 2009, 01:06:32 AM
I want to name my Apiary and of course do not want to use a name already in use.  Is there a solution for this?

Thanks Beek's

Legal business names are registered at the state level. Many state websites have a feature where you can type in a business name to see if it has already been registered. There's a form to fill out (often online) and a fee to register. Registration usually isn't required, i.e., if you're just selling to friends and neighbors as "Bee-nuts Honey", you probably don't have to. However, if you build a locally recognized business, you don't want some clown selling Chinese honey under your name.
