Title: Still waiting
Post by: PeeVee on May 05, 2009, 07:37:33 PM
Hi all,

Due to the weather in Georgia, the package I ordered from Better Bee has been delayed untill the 16th. To keep my mind off that, I've been working part time in the wood shop to put together more frames and hive body (using the parts from the kit as pattern). Maybe I'll get lucky and either get a second package (I'm on the waiting list for that), or at least be prepared for a local split or swarm.

This is my first try and I've been studying as much s possible.

The weather? I thought it has great for bees.

Deposit, NY,  I have been there once in a past life.....small world.

Oh, I'm not worried. The weather here hasn't been the best (except for a couple days at 90!) Mostly a cool damp spring.

Maybe I'm just looking forward to not starting up the wood stove every couple days! Probably hasn't been that bad but also seemed like a long  winter here.

If they are packed and it rains or turns cool for several days, they will swarm usually on the first warm or clear day. Hope you can catch them.
