Title: double queen hive
Post by: jxbeeman on March 12, 2005, 10:49:39 AM
I was just wondering how hard it is or if it is possible to keep 2 queens in one hive.  i would imagine that it could be done by using a queen excluder and 2 full depth hive bodies.  like if you put one queen on the bottom and the other queen on the top with the queen exclutder inbetween so they don't kill each other.  would you need to have a second queen excluder on the very bottom to keep the bottom queen from leaveing/swariming.  any ideas thanks

Hey-
We had just recently had a talk about this, so I pulled up what I could find on those posts.

Maybe these posts will help a little. If they don't, or you have more questions, just ask away. :)
