Title: Two Swarms And A Cut Out For May 16, 2009
Post by: JP on May 17, 2009, 01:53:09 AM
Its been crazy good lately, bee calls out the yin yang. This morning a guy called about a swarm that entered his neighbor's duplex.

I got the owner's name and phone number from the tennant and called him. He came right over and hired me to remove the swarm that had just moved in. It was a decent size swarm.

I did a pretty helacious cut out in an attic, between the floor joists. Vacuumed a bunch of bees, hopefully the queen too.

A lady called about a swarm in what she called a poodle tree. I told her I would call her after my cut out.

I called her about 7:30 pm and she said they were still there, next to the front door, so off I went.

The bees were clustered to many, many small branches. The initial shake didn't yield much so I asked her if it was ok to snip some of the branches the bees were clinging to.

She exclaimed "you can have the whole tree if you want!" She wasn't joking either!

Nice gentle 4lber.

I am exhausted, gonna post and surf a little then its off to bed.
