Hi all
I transferred and installed two nucs of Italian bees into two hives about 12 days ago. Each nuc had 5 frames drawn. Since my bees died last year from veroa infestation, I gave each of the new installed bees about 5 frames of capped honey and 10 fully drawn up frames. I also gave them Global patties and a miller container filled with sugar syrup. The bees are bringing in tons of pollen but they are not touching the syrup!
When will they start using the syrup and when should I stop feeding them?

if they are not taking it, they don't need it. they are probably finding plenty at this time of the year. when you do your next check, see how much nectar they seem to be storing. you may not see a lot if they are using it quickly, but you should see some.
patties are pretty much a waste at this time of the year. they have to many choices out there.
if you are still concerned about stores, you can try adding a drop or two of lemongrass oil to your syrup, but honestly, the bees know what they need. :-)
Nucs in the middle of May, no need to feed. Your girls are finding both sources of food with no problem right now, try again in July. :-D
You gave them plenty of honey also. No need to feed now
