Title: First swarm First post
Post by: dennis a on May 21, 2009, 03:58:47 PM
Hi all,
Enjoy reading your posts.
Went home for lunch and had a swarm on a tree branch five ft high. Set up a bottom board with queen excluder added a ten frame deep. Boxed the bees and dumped in hive. Put on inner cover and empty deep with a boardman feeder inside and top cover.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Dennis

congratulations!  sounds like you pretty much have it. after two or three days, take that excluder off the bottom and you should be in great shape.
