Unfortunately, I had a hive swarm. With the end of the honey flow 4 weeks away and with one of the supers just barely touched, I ended up taking it off. It only had a few bees in it. Ended up moving that super to another hive that is strong and kicking it filling its super.
When I placed this new super onto the second hive, WOW did all heck break loose. Looked like some serious robbing going on. There were only a few bees from the previous hive in this super. But it looked like a war going on in front and around the hive.
Question: Did I mess up? Will these bees continue to try to get into their previously owned super and bring "buddies" from their old hive, too?
Just curious if anyone has seen this....
Glad to be new to this forum!

they'll be fine. you could have shaken out the bees that were there, or put a sheet of newspaper between, but with just a few bees it's hardly worth the effort.
you are sure you didn't transfer the queen?
I would think no harm done. Sometimes pulling honey in a dearth or spilling honey when working hives will cause robbing. I would not think moving a practically empty super and covering the super with cover would cause any problem.
Yes, guarantee the queen was not in there. I use excluders...
Went by today. Granted it was raining pretty good, but things looked "normal".
Did place a bag feeder inside on a nuc that I had moved into a 9 frame body. I think they have been getting robbed when I have placed a jar of sugar water in the feeder. Gone in 2 days and they are still only on 4 frames and not really building into the other 5 frames much. She is laying half decent, though.
