OH! NO, JP!!! You're actually letting a BEE crawl on your finger. Aren't you afraid it will STING you???
Iddee, Momma always said don't play with your food, never said anything about not playing with bees!

nice cut out JP
Johnny
Great photos as usual, especially like these as you really took the time to photograph each section you removed until the end. (well maybe you always do this) Very clear pics and I like the scary one as well. You know the one of the height, showing your foot.
JP, How do you cut the combs, without cutting the bees?
i dont know about him but i always cut a bee or two that dont get out of the way fast enough.
bailey
it's kind of like that old saying......
All give some, some give all!!
A bee vac sure does help to get them out of the way.
G3
Bee vac moves them, smoke moves them and fingers move them. I try to avoid smooshing/cutting bees, it makes them angry!

That's a nice-looking set of combs! They look like they've been there long enough for some of the brood to emerge. Great colony! And I love the last piece of comb, with that capped honey...... :-P
Another fine job JP thanks for sharing :)
JP, thanks for sharing. Do you vacuum the bees off the comb before removing it? And do you empty the bee vac into a hive multiple times during a removal?
Thanks,
John
