Title: Getting Bees into upper deep
Post by: Pond Creek Farm on June 05, 2009, 10:15:05 PM
I have two hives started from five frame nucs.  These arrived the fourth week of April.  They have drawn out all of the frames except the outer two ( I am running ten frame deeps).  They are not moving into the upper deep, so I pulled a frame of brood and put it up there.  Will this help or did I intervene too soon?

Yes, you did good. The frame of brood will help them get up there and start drawing the frames on each side of the brood frame.

God I love this forum. I am at the same place and was wondering how to get them in the upper deep. Thank all of you. I will do this also.
