Rather than dipping, does anyone have any experience as to the durabilty of using a relatively pure propolise finish on woodenware? I realize it would take a while to collect enough propolise to be worthwhile. Thoughts?

I'm sure propolis would make a great finish. Marla Spivak has been experimenting on the effect it has on diseases in the hive by spraying the inside with it.
I was thinking that if you coated the inside too it probably would greatly increase the acceptance of new equipment as well.
The only downside I see is that propolis is worth a LOT of money and that makes it an expensive coating for a hive...
