Title: How long does it take a queen from swarm to start laying?

I caught a swarm 13 days ago. I checked the hive four days after and I thought I seen the queen. I checked the hive today and did not see any eggs or the queen. My eyes are not the best. I think I had a queen from a swarm last year that took three weeks to start laying. So how long

if it's a virgin, it can take forever (seems like).  last virgin queen i got took 3 weeks.  got a really nice swarm this year with a nice fat queen, but she took almost 2 weeks to get going, while another swarm queen got going right away.

A mated queen on drawn out comb should lay almost immediately. Virgins need to mate, then 3-5 days afterwards if comb is available.

But then again, factors unbeknowest to us could push things back a bit such as no flow on, etc...

you trying to tell me i have slow queens??   :-D

factor in poor eyesight and weather for my area.
