Was out trying to get some pics of honeybees and saw this. Anyone know what it is? I've never seen one before.

A honeybee with a fur coat???
LOL yea it was really fuzzy. Not the best pic, but it was moving pretty fast. About half the size of a honey bee, (maybe a half inch long)
It looks like a moth. In eastern Washington, we get these large moths that move around pretty quickly and make a soft humming like sound. At first, when you see one moving, you think that you saw a humming bird, but after some closer inspection it turns out to be a moth.

Probably so though hard to tell. Some moths have evolved to mimic bees.
There are many species of hawk moths which hover flapping their wings like hummingbirds. The pic is too small for me to even guess at what you have there though.
Well, i finally found out what it was. A bee fly. Here is a big pic. Gotta love google.
