Title: New out yard
Post by: trapperbob on July 12, 2009, 02:38:27 PM
I drive a rock truck for a living and one of the guys I see out at the quarry or in passing on the road hollered at me on the radio the other day and wanted to know if I would like to put some bees on his farm in trade for some honey so on the way to check my bees I stopped by his farm to check it out and WOW it's perfect. Lots of pasture land and crp and we took a drive and he showed me around it has two ponds and lots of trees around the edges. I asked him how many hives I could put on his property and he said the more the merrier. And to beat all it is on the way to my other hives so I will not have to go out of my way. And all he wants is some honey for his own personel use. Life is good.

I have found people to be very generous concerning placing hives on their property.

Good luck with your new location,

Steve
