Title: Bees fine in Big Sur
Post by: Pond Creek Farm on July 19, 2009, 12:45:19 AM
My family and I just returned from a vacation in the Monterey Bay/Big Sur area.  A wonderful place and a welcome respite from the summer's heat.  We did a lot of hiking and observing coastal ecosystems, and I was pleased to see many, many bees on the various flowers that profusely bloom atop the cliffs overlooking the pacific.  I would love to have set a couple of hives right in the middle of Point Lobos State Park.

You came all the way out here to the west coast and didn't stop by and say HI.

The west coast is a big place.  If I get business in OR, I'll look you up for sure. Big Sur is a long way from you. But if I get there, I hope you'll have honey and biscuts.
