Title: need a couple queens
Post by: octagon on July 20, 2009, 04:11:57 PM
a few weeks ago, the bears paid us a visit, after i got everything put back together and inside an ele fence, i haven been't been able to find any queens or can i find any eggs. i have been feeding and it looks like the bees are going to stick around. I would like to buy a couple marked queens and and let the hives start over for next year, this year with the weather and the bears is a total loss. wjere can a person buy marked Qs this time of yr? thanks

Just ordered three today from Rossman, they will ship tommorrow. $17 each for queens shipping depends on what you order.

You have to call can not order from site.

Of course they are not northern breed queens if that is what you are looking for.

You might want to try Mike Thomas of Bjorn Apiaries. I know he sells northern bred and raised queens. In fact i was going to pay him a visit this past weekend, but he didnt answer his phone, so i got a queen from someone else :(. Not my 1st choice, but i needed one.
