Just wondering? What do my bee's do in the hive when it is raining out and they have to stay in?
Unless it's raining hard,my bees stay pretty active.Otherwise it's probably housekeeping duties.
Twiddely Winks, Monopoly, Clue, and other board games mostly. No Hopscotch or Jump rope, the queen keeps telling them to take those games outside.
Building wax, capping stores, tending brood, etc.
i bet they are eating your honey

THAT is what I was afraid of when we finally got some wonderful rain this week. For once, my syrup stores were not down, so I was figuring they were enjoying their own honey for a stay-at-home treat.
Among other things they sleep... but then it has to be raining pretty hard for me not to see bees working outside.
Actually the girls are haveing a big discussion on what the rain will do to their Do's
Bee-Bop
I was pretty surprised a couple of weeks ago to see bees leaving the hive in a hard rain. I just couldn't imagine them flying and getting hit by raindrops. I mean for a bee that has to be like getting hit with something really heavy and hard. It would seem to me like it would almost knock them out of the sky, but they were still flying.
