It seems hard to believe that 14 months ago we moved from the old house to this one. All this time I've had the honeybees where they were, collecting pollen and nectar is the do, and a high this build up an incredibly well-weighing in at over 150 pounds.
Last night at 10:30 PM, I met with the coworker who had a truck capable of carrying the hive very efficiently. I got there just before him and sealed the entrance, there were still quite a few honeybees on the outside the landing board, but considering all I was a waste of about five times and buy time my coworker arrived and were no workers left on the outside to cause havoc.
So we boarded the colony on his truck, and drove the 1½ miles to the new house, pulling into the backyard and placing it exactly in the center of the yard near the back fence. Today, the bees are busy with orientation flight and now nearly 1:00 PM, I see that they are often flying in all directions searching for their booty.
The message above was totally dictated by voice, though touching of the keyboard was necessary. Beemaster really likes this voice recognition software, I know Microsoft's speech recognition is packaged with Vista, you give it a try sometime.
There's nothing like looking out the back window and seeing your bees. Enjoy having the girls at home, John!

I need to get some pics Ken, nothing special, just my old C1 hive that started the website - still going, although it has had several residents in there over the many many years. This is the colony of bees from Dallas with an offspring of Austin's queen - pretty cool.
And yes, it is nice having them outside where I can see them again. They've lived a journey that will be on the Internet forever, from Season 2001 logbook and until today, they have had lots of exposure in meta-search engines, hope they don't get all stuck up on me (both literal and figurative) that hive hasn't been apart for awhile :roll:
