Title: moving frames
Post by: MacfromNS on August 06, 2009, 07:08:41 PM
If you have to put a frame of eggs and caped brood from one hive to another
because it maybe queenless ,would you bush off the bees or move that too?

I don't brush off the bees, I move them with the frame. The are nurse bees needed to take care of the brood you are transfering in the frame, no fighting will occur. The brood in the frame as well as the nurse bees on the frame are all needed by the hive being boosted and will be accepted.
