Title: Splits absconded
Post by: Grandma_DOG on August 10, 2009, 05:30:03 PM
I did 5 splits this summer. 3 from KTBH into TBH nucs, and 2 from KTBH into langs.

1 of the KTBH nucs absconded and 1 of the KTBH absconded.

Why? Should I put on queen excluders and use LGO in every lang split?

So you gave them a new queen?  Did they leave right away?  Was it hotter than the hinges of Hades? I'm just curious for I certainly wouldn't know why.

Walk away split. Let them make their own.

Yes on the hot, days up to 105.
