This is just a short intro. We live in South Carolina. This is our second year with bee hives on our property. We bought one hive last year and Jerry got a swarm from a house. These bees swarmed and we then had four hives. One more was retrieved from an abandoned house and one more hive was purchased. So ... we now have six hives total. We are educating our grandsons on honey bees and they are very interested.
Welcome! Sounds like you are already doing great. Ask any questions, tell your stories, we are an interested bunch. I can't even begin to imagine how many years of experience! Someone or many will have answers & solutions so you can choose which will work for you. Enjoy your bees and the forum!

Welcome Jerry and Judy.
Jerry and Judy, welcome to our forum, so nice that you have found us. You are getting your hands in deep, that is cool. Swarms really do increase the number of colonies that a beekeeper has. Gives some great new experiences too. Speaking of that, this will be a place where you can tell your stories, tales and experiences, and make some new friends. Stick around, we love new members. You will soon find out how deeply you are held under the spell of the honeybee, we all are, they do have that way about them. Have a most wonderful day, to love and live, with great health. Cindi
