Title: beginner question about feeding
Post by: chickade on September 12, 2009, 07:44:27 PM
My bees almost starved.  Now I am feeding them and they are eating about 2 quarts a day.  But each time I go to fill the slot feeder they are inside it and won't come out.  When I pour in the sugar water quite a few get submerged.  I'm not sure if they are making it or not.  Is there a way to use this type of feeder and avoid this problem?

Pour slowly.  A float is always good as well.  Or wait until it's empty to refill.
